Jenny Packham Spring-Summer 2015

Jenny Packham Spring-Summer 2015 show at New York Fashion Week celebrated the “Best of British” and took place at Manhattan’s historic Terminal Store.
The muse of this collection is Marilyn Monroe.
Jenny Packham was  influenced by  Marilyn Monroe silhouettes, from figure-hugging body-con wiggle dresses in bold shades of pink and blue (a nod to Marilyn’s off-duty style) to palm print picnic dresses and full-skirted evening gowns, with a color palette ranging from the most delicate pastels to neon brights, metallics, reds and browns. There was also a selection of dresses in red-carpet ready black. The silhouettes of the pencil skirt created by Jenny Packham and mixed with a sheer shirt give elegance to the female.

Sumptuous fabrics – velvet, textured satin, appliquéd lace and silk chiffon – met out-of-this-world embellishments: sherbet-hued 3D flowers appliquéd all over a gown, sparkling silver embroidery on a powder blue cap-sleeved belted dress and brown jumpsuit, a sequin-encrusted cocktail-ready jacket and silk body-con styles with sexy sheer panels and plenty of glittering details. Jenny Packham Spring-Summer 2015  sfila alla  New York Fashion Week celebrando il “Best of British”. Jenny Packham prende ispirazione dalla figura di Marilyn Monroe per la collezione estiva, lo rivediamo nelle gone a tubino abbinate a camicette in seta trasparente che esaltano le curve, utilizza tonalità audaci come quelle del rosa e del blu. Un’incontro di tessuti sinuosi, eleganti e fatiscenti si mischiano per creare abiti da favola. Giochi di trasparenze e linee a sirena in contrasto con gonne lunghe ampie damascate dalle tonalità del giallo e del blu.
La stilista propone colori tenuti che sfumano dall’azzurro pastello a tonalità più dark e cupe come quella del bordeaux.
Giochi di trasparenze e di sfumature rendono chic ed eleganti gli abiti creati da Jenny Packham.
